REVIEW
This is one of the most beautiful stories I’ve ever read & has remained a favorite ever since. The first encounter with the book filled me with such wonder that I couldn’t resist rereading it immediately. It was an exquisitely woven story, a fine combination of peculiarity & idiosyncrasy. Overall, a beauteous story about love.
It took some time at first, getting used to the author’s unique style of delivering the strange story. The incidents were rather grotesque & absurd, often causing me to raise an eyebrow to what happened throughout the pages. But the intriguing details & intricate build of characters kept me glued firmly to the storyline.

One thing I loved immensely about the book was how it portrayed the victims of lost love. Though the story did appear mythical, with all its unbelievably peculiar elements, it was always rotating upon the very subject of unrequited love, of consistent longing, and of farewells. And as strange as it all may look apart, everything seemed to merge together perfectly in the end, creating such a beautiful & heartbreaking story.
This really is one of my favorite books, and there are simply too many of my favorite sentences & quotes in there. I do understand that it’s considered too strange and disturbing to many readers, as I’ve read quite some mixed reviews myself. But if you’re willing to give it a try, I hope that you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!
